SHORT WALKS
Short walks with a volunteer help to nourish you both in mind and body.  A few moments of light exercise and friendly conversation can brighten your day.

 

SOCIAL CALLS & FRIENDLY VISITS
The greatest need amongst our membership is simple personal contact. Volunteers can spend some time with you in your home, chatting or playing a game. If your vision is poor, we can provide you with someone willing to read aloud. Or maybe you would feel better if someone checked in with you daily by phone or looked in on you during power outages and other emergencies.

 

TRANSPORTATION
Volunteer drivers can take you where you need to go and back home again, or even run an errand for you.  Drivers provide transportation to and from a doctor’s office, social and educational events, grocery stores, and other local spots. We ask for at least one week’s notice so we can find an available volunteer.  Next day and emergency requests are handled on a case by case basis.

 

INDOOR HELP & SMALL HOUSEHOLD CHORES
Do you need an occasional hand at home? Help may literally be around the corner. Our volunteers can aid with a variety of light household tasks such as changing light bulbs, taking out the trash, and much more.

 


OUTDOOR HELP
If physical limitations have seen your garden become neglected, we have the green thumbs you need. Volunteers are available to pull weeds, walk pets or perform other outdoor activities.

 

HELP WITH ELECTRONICS
Has the inevitable march of progress left you feeling a bit behind?  Our volunteers are ready to assist you through any electronic confusion you may be feeling. Whether your problem is computers, smart phones, or other modern conveniences, we can help.
